The walks have stopped, although we are going out in half an hour to attempt to restart them. I won’t be writing about them, though.

What stopped us:

(1) Dac couldn’t walk far in the velcro sandals he’s been obliged to wear for the past year, after being hospitalised with diabetic foot problems.
(2) I couldn’t walk far because of (extensively researched but unexplained) breathlessness.

Today he’ll have shoes but I’ll still be breathless. We’ll see how we go.

What I’m doing instead of writing: revising and attempting to complete a section of my website devoted to my university choir, which celebrates its jubilee next year. The university is going to archive the history pages next year, so I’m motivated to get it done.

Lessons I am learning this year – need a concordance to keep track of names and looks; need to describe land layout when it’s so vital to the story; need to be able to tie up loose ends at the end. Every year, I learn something new. I think I need to write three or four more, chuck them all, and then I might be fluid enough to attempt one for public consumption. Also my typing accuracy needs to improve.

Where are the walks?

I would also recommend Oldboy. It’s disturbing, and I can’t get it out of my mind. It invaded my sleep too. DIsturbing but very worth watching.

We came to the end of Drop the dead donkey on Wednesday. Thank you very much for sending it! It was great to watch the lot, in order – I felt as if we’d only seen about 20 episodes when it was on TV. Even with the old news, it has aged well!

The insects are good tasting. Now I understand some of the Bible references. I am eager to taste locusts and honey.

Don’t watch much TV. Haven’t seen that show.
