Anything can be eaten, even non-food items.

The insects are good tasting. Now I understand some of the Bible references. I am eager to taste locusts and honey.

Don't watch much TV. Haven't seen that show.

I totally get where you are coming from! At least it's not having to deal with neighbors with the mean cat (from Ruffian and Redrum's youth) and hopefully you won't ever have to feed Buddy pumpkin. I guess.... Look for the bright side of unconditional love (even if it is for the next 20 years!). Seriously, though, we have drug our feet in looking for a pet BECAUSE of how uncomplicated life is without one. And we have been talking about possible moving to Europe (joys of husband being a citizen of an EU country), and I don't want to put a pet through that.

Just curious... Do you watch "Man vs. Wild?" Because he eats all that, plus more, without the fancy fixin's (or the absinthe!)! :-) Interesting dinner... Don't know if my mind or stomach would have allowed me to join in, but it is interesting to see what can be eaten!

How do I feel about it? A bit disappointed. Life is simpler and freer without an animal to make decisions about. Good thing I never had kids, eh? A cat complicates things. He's young and bouncy and he knocks things over. Anne's porcelain collection is not geared to an inquisitive bouncy cat in the middle of it. On the other hand, he's a really good cat, well trained, happy, affectionate. I don't know why he got abandoned or lost and hasn't been claimed yet. I worry that we will get him de-nutted, and then someone will turn up on the doorstep and say "You've got our cat." What do we say then? "Describe your cat. Oh, it can't be this one, this one is micro-chipped and neutered and all, nothing like the one you described." I wonder how that would go down.

He's a good cat. My fear is that he will live for 20 years.

I KNEW it! :-) The questions is: How do you REALLY feel about the cat? He sounds like a sweetie. Congrats! Seriously, though, glad it was y'all and not the pound or him on the street.

I REALLY think you now have a new cat! Congrats! I know Anne is thrilled... You - not so much. However, if it is a sweet, independent kitty that uses the litter box, well... It could be worse - it could be a DOG!

Hmmm... I think Anne (and the cat) won this one! At least you can say you have done everything to find the owner.
